1. Soon after his election, Magufuli declared there would be no celebration of Independence Day on 9 December because it would be “shameful” to spend huge sums of money on the celebrations when people were dying of cholera. Instead, the day has been set as a national day of cleanliness, and the money will go toward street-cleaning services. He has said everybody should pick up their tools and clean their backyards.

2. After his first official visit to the Muhimbili Hospital, and seeing the horrible state it was in, he ordered over 200 million shillings marked for “parliament parties” be used to pay for beds for people lying on the floor and sharing beds. A few days later 300 beds were delivered. He dismissed the governing board and got a new team in place, and within days the broken MRI was fixed. He also pared down his inauguration party from $100,000 to $7,000 and sent the extra money to the hospital.

3. Three days into his term, Magufuli announced a ban on all foreign travel by government officials. They have been instructed to instead make regular visits to rural areas to learn and help solve problems facing everyday Tanzanians. All tasks that required officials to travel abroad would instead be done by high commissioners and ambassadors who are already in place.

4. He has restricted all first- and business-class travel to government officials, except the president, vice-president and prime minister.

5. There will be no more workshops and seminars in expensive hotels when there are so many ministry board rooms available.

6. He suspended the Tanzania Revenue Authority’s chief and other officials pending investigations after a visit by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa to the port of Dar es Salaam found 350 containers listed in its books were missing.

7. When he had to travel 600km to Dodoma, from Dar, to officially open parliament last week, he didn’t order a private jet – instead, he chose to drive.

8. At the National Assembly in Dodoma last week he clearly sent out the message that it will not be business as usual under his leadership.

9  He promised to cut public spending, fight corruption and enhance accountability in public service. He said it is time for Tanzanians to walk the talk.

10 Magufuli reportedly told parliamentary leaders that the people of Tanzania want him to solve their problems and not make speeches.

Steroids work by making it possible for even a relatively inactive, non-training person to gain muscle mass and control body fat. It is therefore perhaps easy to see why some people view them as a simple quick fix, but the dangers and potential side effects associated with steroid use make them anything but. And regular usage can in fact have some serious, long term health implications.

Spencer is not alone. A Sky News investigation earlier this year suggested that up to a million Brits regularly take them. Despite it being a drug that changes body shape and function in a matter of weeks, they have been given a class C classification in the UK. To put this into perspective, marijuana, which is legal in various states in the United States and other countries worldwide, has been returned to class B in the UK in recent years.

Whilst the perceived benefits of taking steroids may sound appealing, the potential side effects should send a serious warning to anyone considering taking them. Steroids and similar performance-enhancing drugs can cause testicular shrinkage and intense face and bodily acne. They can accelerate the ageing process, cause growths of tumours and lead to the early onset of hereditary problems such as cardiovascular diseases and hypertrophy of the heart (enlarging of the heart walls which decreases cardiac output). Regular usage can also lead to an increase in aggression and mood swings.

In some cases, steroid abuse can lead to a permanent disruption of an individual’s hormone production, meaning that they need hormone replacement therapy for the rest of their life. Dorian Yates (six time ‘Mr Olympia’, effectively the ‘most muscular man in the World’ competition) has openly talked about his steroid use and the fact that he now has to have testosterone replacement injections on a regular basis. The development of female breast tissue in men, commonly referred to as ‘gyno’ (gynaecomastia) can also occur due to hormonal imbalances caused by steroids.

After being thrown out of I’m a Celebrity Matthews confessed that vanity had been the motivating factor behind his steroid use. He wanted to bulk up for a charity boxing match. For others, however, it’s more than wanting a more impressive selfie. Bigorexia – being convinced you are small or need to get bigger – is common with steroid users; the Body Dysmorphia Disorder Foundation estimates that one in 10 gym users could have it. This contributes to the addiction many people develop when taking steroids and other performance enhancers.

Put bluntly, steroid use is dangerous and should be avoided. If you are looking to bulk up, it is possible to do so via a training and nutritional plan that won’t compromise your health. To bulk up naturally, consistent increases in weights lifted in the right rep ranges are required, with the average gym user being advised to concentrate on strength and hypertrophy work in the gym. An inclusion of HIIT cardio 1-3 times per week is also great to help with improved conditioning for weights and sport, beneficial effects on metabolism and to maintain cardiovascular fitness.

Alongside this training, a protein intake of 2-3g per kilogram of bodyweight per day is advised, evenly spread throughout 3-5 meals and or meals and snacks per day, with at least 20% of your remaining daily calories coming from good fats, and the remaining energy requirement from majority good quality carbohydrates. However, forming some of your caloric intake per day from traditionally ‘bad foods’ is also fine to do! Also ensuring you are in a caloric surplus (eating more calories than you are burning per day), and increasing this intake in small increments every 7-14 days for 15-25 weeks (closely monitoring body fat levels) will make for an effective bulking phase.

1. Peace of mind

Peace of mind is one of my favorite reasons to stay single until 30. Sure, not all relationships are consumed with problems, but there’s always the bad and the good in any relationship. There might be some disagreements about finances, family values, or living conditions. You have to worry about numerous things and you don’t have time for yourself. Plus, you may experience high levels of stress on a daily basis. When you are single, you know that the only person who could cause problems is you. And when you and your partner will get married after 30, you will have more experience to solve life issues and your marriage might be stronger and happier. Though, my cousin and her husband got married at the age of 22 and they live happily for 10 years now. They both have peace of mind and they rarely fight.

2. Freedom

The most common reason why so many people stay single until 30 is independence and freedom. I love freedom and perhaps this is my major reason why I don’t want to tie the knot now. When you are single, you can make personal decisions, come and go when you want. Even if you are dating someone, you are almost free. You can go out and have a lot of fun without worrying that your spouse is waiting for you now. You can also travel a lot and see the world, you are free and single so be sure to enjoy your freedom.

3. Focus on your career

When you are not married, you can focus on your career and reach most of your career goals until 30. Sometimes a marriage can interfere with the career goals. While it’s great to have someone who can help you pursue your dreams, it’s better to make a career alone.

4. Less responsibilities

You don’t have to worry about cleaning, cooking, and running errands for your spouse. Plus, you don’t have to bear the responsibility of being a good parent. However, you still have to learn to be reliable, responsible, and dependable. The best way to do it when you are single is by volunteering in the community, though there are many other ways such as caring for a family member or taking on a leadership role at work.

5. Pursue your dreams

Many older people always tell me to wait for marriage and kids. Once I asked them why and most of them told me that this can help me avoid a pre-30 and midlife crises. When you will be in your 30s, you will have less regrets since you achieved most of your goals in your 20s. So pursue all your dreams now while you have nothing and no one standing in your way.

6. More personal space

Another reason it’s fine to stay single until 30 is personal space. As a single woman who lives alone, most of the time you’ll wake up and come home to an absolutely empty home. Yes, it’s not so funny, but you’ll have your own bed, your own fridge, and your own TV. The only person who has access to all the things in your house is you. Frankly speaking, it’s not a reason for me to stay single until 30, but I know many women who like to have more personal space and who enjoy having their own little things like a bed or a fridge.

7. Know yourself better

Staying single until 30 gives you more time to get to know yourself better. You won’t be able to love someone if you don’t love yourself. If you are unmarried in your 20s, take this time to learn your purpose in life and things that make you who you’re. I personally look at the 20s as a perfect time for confusion, struggle, and growth. When you have your own family and kids, they can distract you from all those things and you might not have time for knowing yourself better.

The biggest mistake most single women make is thinking that there’s something wrong with them. While there might be a critical reason you are still single, there is nothing wrong with you! You are beautiful, unique, independent, and you will certainly meet your love one day. Do you think it’s good to stay free and single until 30?

Brandi Johnson, left, and her lawyer, Marjorie M. Sharpe, leave federal court in New York, Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, after a civil jury awarded $30,000 in punitive damages in addition to the $250,000 in compensatory damages that had been awarded last week. The jury said STRIVE East Harlem, a nonprofit employment organization, must pay $5,000 while one of its founders, Rob Carmona, owes $25,000 in punitive damages after an audio-tape played during a week-long trial showed he launched an N-word laced tirade against Johnson while she worked at STRIVE last year. A 30-year-old business woman, *Mary, on Tuesday asked an Igando Customary Court, Lagos, to dissolve her nine-year-old marriage over her husband’s alleged failure to satisfy her sexually.
“My husband cannot perform well, he is not doing his job at all and that always makes me sad. My husband does not satisfy me, he does not last a minute on bed,” Mary said.
The petitioner said that she forced her husband to a hospital to confirm what was wrong with him, and it was discovered that he had low sperm count.
“My husband has low sperm count. I bought the drugs prescribed by the doctor for him, but he refused to use them. His refusal to take the drugs always causes us to fight, because I need a child. We have been married for nine years without any issue,’’ she said.
Ifeanyi said her husband was always on the road for months, leaving her lonely at home, adding that he could sometimes stay away for three months, or more.
She begged the court to dissolve the marriage, saying that she could no longer cope as her love for him had faded.
In his response, John*, a 40-year-old businessman, told the court that he had low sperm count and that he believed God for a miracle.
John said that he was trying his best to satisfy his wife, accusing her of infidelity.
He accused her of having extra marital affairs, saying that men always called her at odd hours.
“My wife is committing adultery, there was a day I saw a text message she sent to her man friend. I showed her the text, but instead of her to apologise, she warned me not to touch her phone. My wife always goes out without telling me and comes back at 11.00 p.m., and whenever I query her, she would tell me she owns her life. And anytime she comes home, she will enter her room and lock me out,” Osame said.
He urged the court to save his marriage, saying that he still loved his wife.
The court President, Hakeem Oyekan, adjourned the case till Dec 11, for further hearing.
